Matt Cann Guitar
After having played bass for The Iridescents and Cheez in the 60's, Matt put his musical aspirations on the back
burner for several years while pursuing a career in power plant, heating, ventilating and refrigeration engineering. Married in 1973,
his wife purchased him a Martin D-35 acoustic guitar for their first anniversary. That was all it took for him to get back into playing
again, this time concentrating on guitar rather than bass.
Along with an extensive record, tape and CD collection, he also built up an impressive collection of instruments over the years
including his Martin D-35, 1984 Les Paul Custom, 1996 Rickenbacker 360/12, 1996 Fender Stratocaster,1999 Gretsch Brian Setzer Model and
a 2002 Epiphone Casino Elite 1964 reissue to name a few.
Matt continued to play guitar over the years with his brother Ed and several friends. He reunited with Mickey Maisano in 2001 and
with friend Jack Steele began playing together. This went on every few months or so for their own enjoyment until the spring of
2004. That summer Mickey located Ron still living in Brooklyn, and Geezer was born.
